The severity of those symptoms ranges from mild in some, lasting only a few days, to severe or even debilitating for others. • Candida albicans,
  • Candida glabrata,
  • Candida guilliermondii,
  • Candida krusei,
  • Candida parapsilosis,
  • Candida tropicalis.

Antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST)

Next gen’ VITEK®2 microbial ID/AST systems are used by the testing laboratory to detect the suitability of commonly prescribed antibiotics:

  • Ampicillin
  • Amox./Clavulanic Acid
  • Cephalothin
  • Ciprofloxacin
  • Tetracycline
  • Trimethoprim/Sulfa

As can be seen within the sample report (above right), this test presents a number of clinical applications providing a wealth of data for the user.
